Down with Cena

It's true, It's damn true. The older, mature wrestling fans loath Cena, and he knows it. I too, once hated John. The tables have turned, and I kind of like him now.

Cena is a local guy, Needham Mass., I got to root for him.

Sometimes he makes me laugh. This week on RAW, he talked about Darren Young looking like him, and how his mom has a crush on Wade Barret. There were even a few laughs heard at the Mayflower Raw viewing!

Cena doesn't have the ego that says "I need to have the belt" to be important.

Huge star. You put him in a room full of Pro athletes, he is still the biggest star. They want to meet him. Wrestling needs that. The WWE had a hand in, but did not create his charisma.

Like Hogan, Cena is indestructible. But Cena is so much better than Hogan. Hogan had one power, the Hulk up. Cena is much better in so many ways. Hogan was a fluke. You have to have your top star have super powers, that's what people want.

Who else can fill that role? He's the best man for the job. There are better wrestlers, better talkers, but no one puts it all together as well. Who's going to be the hero?

"John Cena has been devoted to the Make-A-Wish Foundation since 2004. He earned the foundation's highest honor, the Chris Greicius Award, at Wrestle Mania XXVI in Phoenix."

Retards love wrestling. Your kid has cancer and gets to make a wish--they want to meet Cena, and he is there. He has filled more wishes than than any other person, or organization, over the past few years. Fuck it, if your going to make the sickly happy,I'm not going to try and bring you down.

  1. Cena's for the kids and I am not a child. Therefore, I do not like him. I also do not like: juice boxes, Dora the Explorer, Toy Story or Hello Kitty. His interviews are okay, yet I doubt that he writes his own lines. His in-ring work is really bad. "5 Moves of Doom" is what the Cena haters use to refer to Cena's offensive production, that's being generous. When he's the champ, evryone knows "The Champ is Queer!" John Cena sucks a big fat dick.

  2. I try to look at Cena in context of his job. If he was just a regular jobber but stuck with his character, I'd hate him. But this is what he's hired to do. He is the face of the company. Yes, he does constantly no-sell (like getting a DDT on cement at SummerSlam but appears miraculously unscratched on RAW only 24 hours later) but he is following the mold made but Hulk Hogan.

Every face of the WWE from now on will be a clone of Cena and/or Hulk Hogan. There may be a little Stone Cold mixed in, or a little Rock mixed in, but that's what we're going to have --forever-- so get used to it.

The good thing to come of his reign is that the WWE has managed its roster in a way that Cena is STILL "The Champ" even though he doesn't have the belt. And that's good for the locker room and it's good for the fans and it's good for business.

  3. Honestly, my biggest gripe is that he doesn't put guys over...ever. Heels need legitimacy too, and whether he is told to or just can't sell in the ring, he never makes guys look good. The Undertaker is superhuman, but he always looks beatable in his matches. Super-Cena can't carry a feud or a storyline because the buck stops with him. He killed Orten and Batista, and he almost got Sheamus. He's a push-killer. Just look at SummerSlam, he totally didn't need to win that match.

That being said I do agree with your points...he's a soldier for the company and is the perfect face for "PG" WWE. Great piece.
